The next DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot isn’t what many fans many have speculated. According to a datamine shared on Twitter, the upcoming content for the single-player action game won’t be pulled from Dragon Ball GT or Super, but from the upcoming anime series Dragon Ball Daima.
Twitter user Josou_Kit shared his findings on the website, pointing towards a potential Daima Part 1 DLC. “This is no surprise since it’s the next iteration of the franchise and Bandai said they have more plans for the game,” he wrote.
Dragon Ball Daima is set to premiere this fall to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the franchise. Featuring an entirely original story, Daima will follow Goku and friends after they are turned small by an evil force. In order to return themselves back to normal, they must venture to a new world.
“I came up with the story and settings, as well as a lot of the designs,” said Akira Toriyama before his passing. “I’m actually putting a lot more into this than usual! Things will unfold that close in on the mysteries of the Dragon Ball world. Hope you all enjoy these different-from-usual battles that are cute and powerful!!”
The upcoming fighting title Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has also revealed that its first season pass will be centered around Dragon Ball Daima.
Recently, Bandai Namco announced that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot had sold over eight million copies.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available to play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
